Finally, Xiaomi Redmi Y2 launched in India. There was an event at Delhi on 7 June 2018, at that event Xiaomi launched it in India. It is the successor of Y1 which was launched before. As Redmi told it is a selfie-centric phone. An Ai-based camera has introduced in it. At the rear, it has a dual camera. It is based on Xiaomi Redmi S2 which was launched earlier in China. In this event, MIUI 10 also launched. Xiaomi also compared the Y2 with Vivo V9 and Samsung J7 to show how Xiaomi is beating them in terms of quality.

Xiaomi Redmi Y2 has a dual rear camera with 13 MP and 5 MP. It has LED flash at the rear. The main camera is f/2.2 aperture. The front camera is 16 MP with f/2.0 aperture. The front camera is also an AI-based camera and it has a new feature called Auto-HDR.
